About the role
Cisco develops networking and silicon technologies, and its Silicon One Optics group builds high-speed optical interconnect solutions. The Layout Engineer will implement and verify custom analog and mixed-signal IC layouts through tapeout and support integration and silicon debug.
What you'll do
- Develop custom layouts for analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuits
- Perform block-level floor planning, placement, routing, and integration
- Optimize layouts for performance, matching, signal integrity, yield, and manufacturability
- Check designs against foundry rules and support physical signoff
- Review post-layout extraction results and support simulation closure
- Support tapeout readiness, silicon bring-up, and layout-related failure analysis
