About the role
Altera designs programmable logic and semiconductor solutions for AI, networking, data centers and embedded applications. You will define device safety architecture, guide safety analyses and requirements, and produce evidence for functional safety certification.
What you'll do
- Define safety architecture and technical safety concepts for semiconductor devices
- Perform FTA, FMEA and DFA safety analyses
- Allocate decomposed safety requirements to IP sub-blocks
- Guide teams on ASIL decomposition, fault tolerance and diagnostics coverage
- Define safety verification strategies including fault injection and simulation
- Document safety case evidence aligned with IEC 61508 and ISO 26262
