Principal Systems Engineer - BESS Product Development

Fluence delivers energy storage and optimization software and services for renewable energy and power grids. The Principal Systems Engineer will architect utility-scale battery storage products, lead systems integration and safety work, and guide engineering teams and product roadmaps.

• Lead system architecture for utility-scale energy storage products
• Develop requirements, functional decompositions, interface documents, and technical specifications
• Drive cross-disciplinary trade-offs and integration strategies
• Define verification and validation plans and oversee product testing
• Lead safety assessments, root cause analysis, and compliance efforts
• Mentor systems engineers and guide product development initiatives
