About the role
Collins Aerospace develops aerospace and defense technologies, including avionics systems. This engineer will design and verify safety-critical FPGA hardware and support certification, audits, and technical guidance for designers.
What you'll do
- Develop FPGA designs from system requirements for DAL A/B projects
- Capture device-level requirements and define FPGA design architecture
- Write VHDL RTL and implement designs on FPGA devices
- Perform synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis
- Troubleshoot design and verification issues
- Support product lifecycle audits and mentor designers
