About the role
Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that generate, test and deploy production applications from plain-language intent. The Legal Associate will review, negotiate and track commercial contracts, advise business teams on contract questions, and maintain templates and playbooks.
What you'll do
- Review and redline customer, vendor, SaaS, consultant and enterprise agreements
- Negotiate contracts through counterparty comments and signature
- Assess liability, indemnity, intellectual property, privacy and termination clauses
- Advise business, sales and procurement teams on contract questions
- Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks and records
- Flag recurring contract risks and issues for updates to standard terms
